Sistars of Empowerment, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to empowering women and youth through sisterhood, education, service, and networking. We strive to break cycles of poverty, isolation, and disadvantage by providing mentorship, resources, and transformative community programs that uplift, inspire, and equip individuals to thrive personally, academically, and professionally. Based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, we have served our community for over a decade with impactful outreach, inspiring events, and life-changing resources for those in need.

Who We Are

We believe in the power of transformation and healing. Through our programs, we meet people where they are and help guide them to where they want to be, stronger, more confident, and better equipped for life’s challenges.

Our women-centered programming includes the EvolveHer Women’s Mentorship Program, which supports personal healing, faith-based empowerment, and goal setting, and the Elevate Business Academy, which equips women with business skills, mentorship, and confidence to start and grow their own ventures. In partnership with the East Baton Rouge Parish Housing Authority, our Uplift Outreach Center provides basic essentials such as toiletries, household items, and clothing to women and families in crisis.

Sistars of Empowerment has consistently demonstrated our commitment to empowering underserved populations through a dynamic blend of education, mentorship, sisterhood, service, and community-based outreach. Our programs including the Mr. & Miss Empowerment Pageant, Back-to-School Drives, Domestic Violence Outreach, Book Scholarship for Graduates, and the Uplift Outreach Center are thoughtfully designed and executed with excellence, empathy, and purpose.

What truly sets Sistars of Empowerment apart is our holistic approach. We don't just serve; we uplift. We don't just provide resources; we build relationships. Through initiatives like the Empowered Youth Alliance, EvolveHer Women’s Mentorship, and the Elevate Business Academy, we are fostering confident youth, resilient women, and thriving entrepreneurs who are empowered to break cycles and transform their communities.

Our partnerships with local entities, including the Safe Hayven Education Center, The Ascent Project and the East Baton Rouge Parish Housing Authority, and our member-supported funding model reflect both the trust we’ve built in the community and our sustainable approach to growth and impact.

Some of our past and current programs and initiatives include:
